KIP Introduces Cloud Printing via E-mail

KIP Web Apps- There’s an app for that!

The new KIP Web Apps Suite offers a flexible new approach to delivering print services — one that better responds to mobile business needs.
KIP is ready for the Cloud with the introduction of KIP Web Apps, which a free upgrade to the Kips’ 7 Series line of Wide Format multifunction printers, which includes the KIP 700, 7100, 7700,7900 & 9900. These KIP printers are now capable of getting their very own email address.
Using this system will allow end users to print to Web App enabled KIP printers, from anywhere in the world, and is accomplished utilizing any device that you use to connect to the Internet. This includes workstations, netbooks, tablets, smart phones, and just about any device that can send email. KIP Web App enabled printers frees end users from ever having to load printer drivers before they can print.

This is the first email to print solution that is specifically designed for the AEC industry, (Architects, Engineers, Construction), who traditionally produce wide format documents on a daily basis.  The disadvantage for other email to print solutions is that it can only be set up by registering through 3rd party websites, which presents potential security concerns. With KIP Web Apps information security is controlled by the end users own IT personnel, with no opportunity for company information to be accidently captured and stored.

The print-through-the Internet feature lets you simply e-mail one file or multiple print ready files to the KIP Web App enabled printer.

KIP & the Windows Device Experience

Windows 7 & the New KIP Windows 7 certified driver introduces a collection of new features to improve how KIP users discover and use their devices that are available to them.
Devices and Printers makes it easy for KIP users to view and use the KIP multifunction printers that are connected to their computer.
Users can open Devices and Printers in two ways: through Control Panel or by clicking the Start button.
The Windows Device Experience is installed when a PC connects to the internet.  Windows 7 itemizes the installed KIP devices and checks with Microsoft servers if a Device Experience exists for a particular device.  If one exists, then it will be installed automatically; no user intervention is required.
Once installed, a user is presented with a friendly icon depicting their installed hardware.  Double-clicking on the graphic will load the Windows Device Experience.

Time is Running Out!!

Section 179 Use it or lose it!! Get your very own stimulus package!

Now it is time to decide on whether to bring on new equipment to add more capacity or put some of our old equipment out to pasture. Under Section 179, businesses can deduct the entire purchase price of their printing equipment from their gross income. What's more, leasing of printing equipment offers an additional benefit. Section179.org writes, “The obvious advantage to leasing or financing equipment and then taking the Section 179 Deduction is the fact that you can deduct the full amount of the equipment, without paying the full amount this year. The amount you save in taxes can actually exceed the payments, making this a very bottom-line friendly deduction."

"Many businesses don’t realize that they can actually make a profit off of Section 179,

The 'Small Business Jobs and Credit Act of 2010' increases the amount a taxpayer can write-off up to $500,000 in equipment purchases and you can still get a benefit with writing off up to 50% first year depreciation if you are over. This is a way to use your money effectively to give yourself your own stimulus package.
